History and the present day
A tower with a story – and a future
We want to restore it to the landscape, to the people and to the events: concerts, gatherings, hikes and stargazing in a special place – at the junction of Silesia and Upper Lusatia, the Izera Mountains and the Izera Foothills, Poland and the Czech Republic, beneath the dark skies of the Izera Mountains.
Stage 01
What has been done
Leasing and taking over the historic building, the restoration plan, securing the spire, information boards, benches and the first events.
Stage 02
What lies ahead
Construction plans and administrative decisions, funding from grants and donations, and the programme of events for the season.
Stage 03
What are the funds spent on?
Design work and documentation, preservation and restoration of the tower’s components, programme of events.

It’s my pleasure
This place was born out of a fascination with the landscape, science and the idea of looking further – both literally and figuratively. Today, we want to breathe new life into this idea in a modern form.
