2024
30 July
Registration of the Lausatia & Silesia Foundation.
August
Commencement of discussions with the State Forests, the owner of Mon Plaisir, regarding the acquisition of the historic building.
September
A formal agreement between the Lausatia & Silesia Foundation and the Izera Local Tourist Organisation concerning joint efforts aimed at the restoration of the historic monument.
October
Commencement of discussions with the Provincial Conservator of Monuments regarding the concept for the reconstruction of the tower.
2025
2 October
The first concept for the reconstruction of the complex is being drawn up by CAD PROJEKT Adam Wieczorkowski. It was designed by Bartosz Gałczyński, MSc Eng. Arch.
13 November
The Lausatia & Silesia Foundation has won the tender for a 30-year lease of the former Mon Plaisir Tower – Wilhelm Tower complex.
21 November
The Foundation’s formal takeover of the tower and the official restoration of its original name, Mon Plaisir.
2026
13 January
The tower’s profile is now live on Facebook and Instagram.
3 February
A concert to mark the start of the complex’s redevelopment. The Wrocław-based band Scena Pod Regałem performed at the Krasicki Hotel Resort & SPA.
21 February
A working visit to the tower by Michał Rado, Deputy Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
26 February
A visit to the tower by Waldemar Witkowski, a Polish Senator and Chair of the Senate Science Committee.
18 March
Installation of a CCTV system for the complex.
20 March
Formal establishment of cooperation with the Czech Academy of Sciences. Astronomers from the Czech Republic visit the Mon Plaisir tower.
24 March
Anna Szewczyk, a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, is presenting the tower’s logo, which she has designed herself.
30 March
Installation of information boards at Mon Plaisir, funded by the Lower Silesian Voivodeship as part of the Small Grants programme.
31 March
Launch of a public fundraising campaign on zrzutka.pl.
9 April
A glass panel has been fitted where the tower’s former entrance used to be, replacing the wooden planks. This allows visitors to see inside.
11 April
Clearing out the interior of the tower and uncovering the historic floor.
17 April
Installation of benches by the tower. The benches were donated by a private individual, and the installation was carried out free of charge by Krzysztof Dziołak’s company, Krig-Grup.
18 April
Presentation of the concept for the tower’s reconstruction at a conference of the Upper Lusatian Society of Sciences in Görlitz (Oberlausitzische Gesellschaft der Wissenschaften e.V.). The tower’s builder, Adolph Traugott von Gersdorf, was one of the society’s co-founders.
22 April
Emermax, a company based in Zgorzelec, is sponsoring the tower’s tourist stamp.
29 April
The concept for the reconstruction of the complex is being presented to Anna Żabska, the Lower Silesian Province Governor.
30 April
Replacement of the side doors leading to the tower.
4 May
Receipt of a commitment from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship to provide the documentation for the renovation of the Mon Plaisir tower in Pobiedna – 150,000 PLN.
8 May
Launch of the ‘Izerskie Znaki Szczególne’ programme, co-funded by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
9 May
Work at height to secure the top of the tower, carried out on a voluntary basis by members of the Świeradów-Zdrój Volunteer Fire Brigade.
16 May
The first ever Night of Museums in Pobiedna. The walk in the footsteps of Gersdorf took participants through the palace in Pobiedna, the cemetery, Mon Plaisir and Hetmańska Street.
20 May
Launch of the „Bees by Day, Stars by Night” programme, co-funded by the Marshal’s Office in Wrocław.
1 June
Commencement of open-cast mining operations within the complex.
6–9 June
Exploratory work using a metal detector on the site of the former complex.
13 June
The scan of the tower was carried out free of charge by Tomasz Orzechowski (OPTO-LAN, Tour3D.pl).
17 June
The S.A.F.E. 2026 national rescue exercise at the Mon Plaisir complex.
July
Free removal of self-sown plants around the tower by Daniel Olkowski’s company, Mil_clean.
6 July
Launch of the ‘Izerskie Szlaki Gwiazd’ programme, co-funded by the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
11 July
Ground-penetrating radar surveys of the site.
13 July
Setting up a drinking trough for animals.
18 July
Replacement of information boards, thanks to the support of Michał Zimny (Piksel-Art).
25 July
Installation of an outdoor bookcase, sponsored by Krasicki Hotel Resort & SPA in Świeradów-Zdrój.
